Welcome to Guernsey Choral and Orchestral Society, a mixed-voice choir of about 100 singers and full orchestra. We perform three main concerts during the year: two at Christmas and one in May or June. We sometimes have other smaller concerts during the year, and there is a biennial concert weekend abroad, which in 2011, saw a performance of Haydn's Creation in St Malo Cathedral. In 2012 a small contingent from the choir sang in the premiere performance of Karl Jenkins' "The Peacemakers" in Carnegie Hall, New York. In July 2013 we joined with a choir in Biberach, Germany to sing in the week of their Schutzenfest, and in 2016 we sang in Caen Cathedral.

2018 is our 70th Anniversary and Guernsey's own Chris Claxton will be composing a special piece for us which will be perofrmed at the Christmas Concert.  We are also hoping to perform on the Pier in the Last Night of The Proms

We always welcome new singers and are particularly keen to encourage students from school and University to join us by offering free registration, sheet music and music books. Please contact our Chairman, Robin Warlow on 250873

Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings at St Sampson's High School from 7.30-9.30pm
