Welcome to Guernsey Choral and Orchestral Society.  We hope that you find here all you need to know about the Society.  GCOS is a well-established, mixed-voice choir of about 100 singers, who share a love of singing and enjoy making music together in a friendly yet hardworking atmosphere. GCOS gives amateur singers the opportunity to take part in major choral works with the benefit of a full orchestral accompaniment in performance, with both amateur and professional soloists. The choir and orchestra has built a reputation for high quality performances and performs regular public concerts at Christmas and in May covering a wide range of music, as well as a biennial concert weekend abroad, which last year saw a performance of Haydn's Creation in St Malo Cathedral .

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at St Sampson's High School from 7.30-9.30pm. New singers are always welcome: if you would like to come along to a rehearsal we would love to see you and look forward to welcoming you. Contact Helen Grand (Conductor) or Penny Dravers (Chairman). It is not necessary to sight sing but membership is subject to a short private voice test after a trial period of rehearsals
